Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar – The Kickoff

And we’re off! At noon sharp, we bid farewell to Delhi’s traffic madness and hit the open road, cruising towards Haridwar, where spirituality meets the rush of the holy Ganges.

By evening, we roll into town, check into our cozy stay, and freshen up just in time for the grand spectacle—Har Ki Pauri’s Ganga Aarti. Picture thousands of glowing lamps, synchronized chants, and the river glistening under the golden hues of devotion. It’s mesmerizing. Post this divine experience, we grab a hearty dinner and call it a night because, trust us, the real adventure is just getting started.

Day 2: Haridwar to Guptkashi – The Prequel to Kedarnath

Rise and shine, wanderers! A steaming cup of chai later, we’re back on the road, weaving through scenic hills, mist-covered valleys, and winding roads that promise an epic journey. Guptkashi—our pitstop for the night—welcomes us with its peaceful vibe. After checking in, we stretch our legs, indulge in a warm dinner, and rest up, for tomorrow, we step into the realm of legends.

Day 3: Guptkashi to Kedarnath – The Ultimate Trek Begins

It’s an early start (no complaints, right?), as we grab our packed breakfast and make our way to the Kedarnath trek base. This is where things get real—13 km of pure magic, where every step takes us closer to the divine. Whether you trek, hire a pony, or go full VIP mode with a chopper, the journey is as exhilarating as the destination.

By sunset, we stand before the magnificent Kedarnath Temple, its stone walls echoing centuries of devotion. As the evening Aarti unfolds under the starry Himalayan sky, goosebumps are guaranteed. We spend the night in a simple homestay, but with hearts full and souls recharged, luxury is the last thing on our minds.

Before dawn, we rise for the most awaited moment—darshan at Kedarnath. Whether we brave the queue or take a swift VIP entry, the divine energy here is undeniable. With blessings in our hearts and a touch of reluctance, we begin our descent, retracing our steps back to Guptkashi. A warm meal, a comfortable bed, and a well-earned rest await.

Day 5: Guptkashi to Joshimath – Auli Calling!

Goodbye, Guptkashi! Today, we swap temple bells for snowy thrills as we drive toward Joshimath, the gateway to Auli, India’s winter wonderland.

The journey itself is a visual treat—rolling meadows, winding mountain roads, and an ever-changing sky. By evening, we reach Joshimath, and if time allows, we take the ropeway up to Auli for a breathtaking Himalayan sunset. With crisp mountain air filling our lungs, we settle into our stay, gearing up for another action-packed day.

Day 6: Joshimath to Badrinath to Rishikesh – The Grand Finale

Before the sun is up, we’re already on the road, making our way to Badrinath, the final jewel in our spiritual crown. Nestled between majestic peaks, the temple stands as a testament to devotion and time.

After seeking blessings, we take a quick detour to Mana Village—India’s last inhabited village before the Indo-Tibetan border—where folklore meets reality. By noon, we begin our long ride to Rishikesh, reaching just in time to crash at our hotel, dreaming of riverside adventures.

Day 7 : Rishikesh to Delhi – Wrapping It Up, One Last Sunset

It’s the last day, but not without a little Rishikesh magic! After a relaxed breakfast, we soak in the town’s bohemian vibes—Lakshman Jhula, the Beatles Ashram, and riverside cafés serving up soulful tunes and even better food.

A few deep breaths by the Ganges, one last sip of masala chai, and it’s time to head back to Delhi, hearts still wandering in the mountains we’re leaving behind.
